Crusader Equip and Build

As a crusader what are the equips I should be aiming for? Example: Are Royal Silver Shield and Lance good options since they upgrade?

I’m planning to be a Shield type since i heard its better than Holy cross build and Quick Spear. Help on stats and skill points? Example: Is SVD, 60 dex, max ste, rest vit good to go? Is shield really good than others especially as paladin? Thanks ahead
