Dat bumper cut
I've done 4 or 5 now I have a technique.
If you look under the bumper you'll see 4 support tabs/plastic brackets. These are at a level height. Drill one hole thru the bumper per tab at the bottom height of the tab.
Draw a line in dry erase across these drilled holes. Then use a dry erase to draw your curve down line smoothly on one side. Trace that line out onto a piece of paper. Cut the paper and flip it over to trace it onto the other side.
Jigsaw or Dremel it. Perfectly symmetrical and straight every time.
You can also give the template to your friends and they can replicate it perfectly.
Gonna keep in mind for when I buy a Miata! Does this hold for NAs?
No idea about the brackets and straight like thing but yes the template is the same

Was this recently? If so, did you get very far up PCH? I haven't been through since the Woolsey Fire and a little curious what it's like in the area now.

license plate doubles as diffuser?
No it's me being a ricer dumbass and having a bent plate
Look up JDM bent plate. Usually it's much more extreme,
I thought you went through a Mike’s Express / Crew carwash.
Won’t do it with this car but my last car would always get a bent plate. Had to buy a Weathertech frame to stop it. Upside is now I have a nice frame for my Miata.
