They lost 0-2 in the first series and because infamous then won the losers match and TP lost the winners match they played each other again. Infamous lost again and were eliminated.
It should not be possible for a single team to knock you out of major qualifiers.

Dumb arguement really. What if it was a single bo3 in round 1 to get knocked out. Also infamous had their chance the second time to get their win against TP, but they threw the games. So sad to say this as I was rooting for infamous to win, but they played really bad and out of sync as a team despite having great individual players.
I don't really care for infamous at all. How the actual games went is irrelevant, it's about the format.
A single BO3 would obvioulsy be way worse still. I don't see how that could be a good idea for a major qualifier. Who do you decide who gets paired vs the Top tier teams? And even a team like VP can lose a series. Should they therefore not go to the major?
But infamous lose 2 series?
If VP lose two series to qualifier team, then yes they don't deserve major.
Maybe they should've won?

Which of test123 and TP are Infamous better than? They got 4-0'd by TP and test123 2-0'd both TP and GP (who Inf only managed to beat 2-1)
test123 > TP > Inf > GP is the correct ranking order whichever way you look at it
I don't know why everyone is attacking my point based on the qualities of infamous. I don't care for this team. It doesn't matter if it's the best team in the world or the worst. It's about the format.
I don't think, when it comes to a major qualifier, that anyone should be eliminated in 1 day by losing to one team only. I would love it if someone could come up with a counter argument that doesn't revolve around infamous being a bad team.

what's wrong with this? another team would of had to beat TP, so we got two teams better than infamous ready to go in
Winning one series doesn't make you a better team. Or are you suggesting No Pangolier is a better team than VP?
You should not be eliminated on day 1 from losing only to one team.
doesn't matter, this is how it goes. no tournament format can objectively decide who the best team is, because elimination exists. if you wanted to find the best team you'd just do a continuous round robin, and im pretty sure the teams would not enjoy that. your argument is really dumb though, keep going.
I think a good solution would be to swap the groups after the initial matches.
