Hello Friends. How do I get a real Christmas Cactus?

I thought I had an Easter, Christmas, and Thanksgiving cactus. Sadly I have an Easter Cactus and two Thanksgiving Cacti. Are there sites I can order plants from?

I think thanksgiving cactus had those wanabe spikes on it. That or the other way around.

Easter cactus has lots different(and more normal) flowers....

They are not hard to find. Even in a middle of nowhere third world country. You simply need to look

then again....murphy's law....

I know the difference at this point, I just want to get one. Know any secret cuttings cult I can bribe? Or should I just keep my eyes peeled for one at places.

They should be in "season" along with euphorbia pulcherrima in wholesale. But maybe a relative or neighbor or a friend or something.

Lemme to you a story(and im being informative here to all the noob haters out there):

Most seed sites dont sell seeds for it. The best youll find is rhipsalis.....

Its probably one of the most commonly grown cacti, and among the safest to touch....

Its propagated by segments ....and its the easiest to get to flower.....

Online cacti trade(specially for live plants) involves grafting stock, rare plants(which are most often globular or young columnar), and even (what some might consider) contraband seeds....

Stuff you want to look up online(if you re already buying) is usually rare cacti like lophophora, ariocarpus, epithelantha macromeris , astrophytum asterias., echinopsis mirabilis, frailea...

Basically most things rare on non present in wholesale......and not even reliable for the most part.....

Schlumbergera buckleyii is one of the few "heritage cacti" along with cereus repandus, echinopsis oxygona, echinopsis chamacereus, disocactus x hybridus, epiphyllums etc.....

I call them heritage cacti because of their long presence in cultivation, their popularity and their ease of growth......

The heritage part is referring that it was popular since the middle of the last century, and even here(reddit) youll find mentions of old people having them.....

Like i said before, its easier to find if you know where to look.
