My Brother's First Lions Game

Hi Everyone. So my brother Andrew was a huge Lions fan. All last season and all summer he bugged me and my dad nonstop about attending a Lions game. So at the beginning of this season, we bought tickets for the Lions-Rams game today. He had the Lions schedule printed out and each week he'd write down the scores and the results of the game and he had today's game circled.

Yesterday we said our final good-byes to my brother. He passed away on Monday of complications from a seizure. Andrew was only 30 but he lived a full life. He brought so much love and joy into everyone's life.

My dad and I are still going to the game today. I know he'd want us to. Andrew was the type of guy who loved high-fiving everyone. We're in section 219 row 5 seats 5-7. So if anyone is in the area and wanted to toss a nice crisp high-five my way then I can hopefully help spread the love and joy Andrew would have.

I'd like to thank the Lions for giving me, my dad, and my brother another reason to spend time together. Through win or lose, regardless of the score, Andrew was always ready to cheer you on the next week. I'm also proud to be a part of this community so thank you to all of you as well.

I don't really know how to end this post sooooo... Thanks and can't wait to be a part of the Pride at today's game. GO LIONS!

Edit 1: added our seats we're in section 219 row 5 seats 5-7

Edit 2: thank you guys so much for the kind words. It means so much to me. FTP!

It breaks my heart to hear that a true fan like Andrew is no longer with us, but he’s gonna be watching from best seats there are when we eventually win that first Super Bowl! One pride my man!
