Just got a Scion tC and now it looks like electrical problems. :(
I was so excited to take this thing home and things started going wrong the next day. It looks like my coolant is leaking, even though I haven't found the leak yet. Today I drove it a few miles and my battery just started dying all the sudden. One minute it was fine and the next minute my radio and my power steering went out. The engine was still going so I managed to get it to Autozone. They told me the battery would not charge so I bought another battery.
I put the battery in and started it and it died once. I don't think I had it in gear. After that it ran fine but when I took it to another parts store (because I don't want to ruin my new batt) they said it might be the alternator because it was showing a bad voltage regulator. When I looked this up online I read the voltage is not regulated by the alternator. But in any case my car is now going to have to sit parked because I didn't have enough money left to do any more repairs. I might be able to get the alternator in myself, but I don't even have the $180 right now to buy a rebuilt one.
I was going to take pictures, but now I really don't feel like it. lol
