Combat Question from a New Guy

So, I’ve got about 10-12 ish hours in the game now, about 3 of which was spent in my landing craft playing with systems. I did a little research and bought Khora right out of the gate. I wanted a really cool frame to kind of glue me to the game.

Anyway, I bought her pack. So I got her melee weapons, the Dual Keres. I’m so powerful in terms of melee, that using guns seems almost trivial. Between Venari and the Dual Keres, I almost never take part in gunplay. Is this because I’m running through low level content, or is this game that melee centric? I don’t necessarily mind it, it’s still fun. The movement in this game is fantastic, and using a fast-paced melee setup makes the movement all that much more enjoyable. I guess I just thought I’d be using my guns a little more? They’re just kind of...there.

Side note: The community in this game has been fantastic. Ya’ll are so welcoming and helpful. I’m a long time MMO/loot game grinder, and the Warframe community is by far the best community I’ve ever been a part of.
