Love the Airpods, but Keep Falling Out :-(

So I got the Airpods to go with my XR and love the little buggers, but dang it they keep falling out. I tried the hole punch 3M tape hack, but seemed to only help my right Airpod fit better. Seems my left ear is mutant large compared to my right :-( Any other hacks to fix this? I really really don't want to return them. Has anyone tried Gorilla tape or some kind of adhesive backed rubber? I almost need something thicker than the 3M tape.
