Disco/soul “House” noob question

Hey guys! Hope I’m not breaking any rule here. I’ve been readin a lot of post here and still havent find one with my question. So here it goes. Im a jazz music student and I’ve been listening to house and going to partys and I decided that Im gonna expand my musical taste and try this. What Im going for, first, is for some disco house flow, and Im aware that people sample those voices and then match it with the controllers. But what about the base, is it a loop going on? Is it other artist song and you’re just adding details and effect? Is there any youtube channel that could help me with where Im trying to go?? Good vibes and I appreciate any knowledge!!

This is more or less the sound Im really digging, both three videos https://www.instagram.com/p/BrBR4zrhe3e/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=pshq425ra9n1
