Recently started playing Dark Souls Remastered on Switch

I love this game to death and love the ability to take it with me pretty much anywhere I go on the Switch. HOWEVER, holy shit I feel like they were extremely lazy with it. I’m not even gonna go into the details of the graphics too much because I’ve seen it touched upon a lot already but obviously I believe they could’ve done a way better job with that. I do see some slight improvement especially with character models but certainly not enough to warrant calling it a remaster, imo. More like a rerelease for new generation consoles. There’s many things that should’ve been fixed that I’m baffled they didn’t bother to fix. Many of the same bugs make a come back and I think the laziness of it all really hit home for me while I was making my way down the Great Hollow. The camera is still shit and collision is still absolute trash at some points. I constantly fall off edges due to invisible walls. While of course I’m enjoying playing DS on a new generation of consoles there’s a lot of minor things that should’ve been fixed that weren’t. The fact that they had time to work on this game again and didn’t bother to fix so many of the original issues is just pure laziness.

BUT, I do have to also give credit for some of the slight and major improvements. Small things like being able to choose the number of items/Souls you use is much appreciated and my god... Blighttown. Praise the lord they fixed Blighttown. At least now I can stomach it.

As always this game is amazing and beautiful to play through but I just had to vent some of my frustrations over it. I feel like they could’ve done a much better job with this release and I’m just disappointed that more effort wasn’t put into it.
