Should the president be less powerful, more powerful, or is the power the position has now fine?
Originally, the presidency was meant to be a fairly weak position in the government, it was a position meant for someone to simply be the face of the federal government and to make sure the laws were properly executed, not someone to have a lot of influence. But as time went on the president took on more and more responsibilities, congress has passed on a lot of it's responsibilities unto the president, and overall the president has turned into a position that I'm pretty sure was not intended to be as powerful as it is today. What are your thoughts? Should the presidency return to how it was originally intended, or is the power the position has today fine?
