Help removing left over residue from stripping 100 years worth of paint

Well we’ve made the terrible mistake of trying to strip our door frames and window frames of nearly 100 years of paint. We’ve used Smart Strip and Peel Away and Circa 1850 on various frames to try and fine the best method.

They all kinda work a bit but the first two leave quite a claggy mess behind that is sticky and difficult to get entirely off. Trying to wash it off makes it more sticky and hard to remove.

The circa 1850 leaves some mess behind less sticky more dry but we are worried about sanding off the remaining paint because the older layers are lead paint.

None of them have managed to get down to the wood entirely.

We are at a loss. Any advice on how to move forward? or on how we should have done this?

We need to get it all sorted for painting on Monday.
