Power Source Options?

I purchased the 2.1 adapter about a year ago. WAY better option for me compared to the batteries for home use. Problem is after a few months the thing lost it's spring or something & it won't get power to the box. I have to wiggly/press real hard to just a split second or two of heat.

When I went to buy a new one all they have is the $89 3.0... I'm already a big peeved the first one broke so quickly from light use not amped on spending close to $100 to replace something that already broke (but shouldn't have).

Are there any power source options out there that fit with the launch box?
