Any Recommendations for a Newbie?

I hope this is the right sub. I'm not experienced with synths and usually play piano. I'm looking for a keyboard that's around $200-$500 that can hookup to a computer to record music, or at least that can have custom samples on it, and is relatively small with a reasonable amount of features. Although I plan on making my own samples, having the ability to use the samples that come with it on a commercial project would be nice as well if possible.

If anyone has any recommendations I'd gladly take them as I'm kind of clueless about what I should be looking for.
