Girl Scouts a good thing for my kids???

So my girls are 4 and 5 and we are looking to get them involved in some organization to get involved with community. We are active people. We have a cabin in the Poconos where we love to camp, fish and hike. We also have a nice small flock of chickens which the girls have mentioned they’d like to show, so 4H may be an option. So, I’m looking for advice from other parents who can clue me in on today’s Scouts, 4H and the like. What’s worth doing and why? What should we avoid and why? Thanks in advance for your answers!
