Fostering w disabilities?

Hi all! My husband (26M) and I (25F) have been talking about fostering for years. Now seems like a good time (I have a good job, he stays home, we live near supportive friends and family & we have a spare room.) But I’m worried that our disabilities may be an issue. My husband has MS. He can’t work anymore, but his pain and symptoms are handled with meds and various physical aids to help him walk. He can still drive, and he’s able to go to go out and do normal things 90% of the time. I also want to point out that I work 3 miles away from our apartment, so I be come home and handle any emergencies within 5 minutes if he can’t.

On top of that- I have PTSD from medical trauma that is controlled w medication, therapy and my ESA. I’m not violent. I rarely have flashbacks, and I have extra meds prescribed to sedate me for when a doctor’s visit is unavoidable.

I feel confident that we can provide a stable, loving home for a child, but will these disabilities look bad on paper? Should I start gathering any documentation to prove that these things won’t be a problem?

Any insight/advice would be greatly appreciated :)
