I may have Lyme disease but won't know until I go see a doctor tomorrow.
Well, my hip started hurting again. This is pain I have had for many years actually at least 3-6 years. I have had reoccurring hip stiffness and slight pains, from a fairly minor sports injury way back. Those the pains were very infrequent 1-2 times a year and pretty mild. I felt that I was having another similar episode as the pain was more or less in the same region. The weakness the hip pain caused in my leg also felt very similar to my sports injury.
The weird part is that firstly the pain is definitely worse than any other episode. I have almost no lower body strength, flexibility is also a problem now as my lower back is really stiff. I wouldn't have EVER thought lyme disease until I noticed an itch, low and behold there is a rash that looks kind of like a lyme disease rash. The rash is on my hip and its approx 2" x 2" in size.
Is there anything I should know before seeing a doctor to ensure a better chance of diagnosis?
Since the symptoms of pain I feel were similar to the sports injury, this know rash and lyme disease has really caught me off guard. Is there a chance I may have got lyme disease in the passed (without really noticing) and that the rash is reoccuring? Is the rash a reoccurring symptom, or just an initial symptom from the tick bite?
