How to use the fingerprint login with apps, but not the lock screen on phone. LG G7

How can I use the fingerprint login for apps like my banking and credit cards without having to use it on my lock screen too. It seems like the only way to use them on my apps is to have it set up to unlock my phone too. And I prefer to just use the swipe for unlocking.
