3yo dog peeing on carpet suddenly

We moved into a house 6 months ago with a carpeted “bonus room.”

Until then our dog never had a carpeted room and it’s her favorite room in the house to romp and play in.

This week she began peeing in the room (we think previous owner had cats) even when she just pee went outside shortly before (marking?)

She previously had access to the room all day with no issues, now suddenly she runs in there to pee even if I let her in there unsupervised for 10 minutes. She even peed in front of me once (she was reprimanded, and that was the first time I noticed the issue and it has been a problem ever since)

Any help or ideas is appreciated!
