BF5 Performance stability
I'm on the fence on whether to get a new PC for BF5. I currently have a GTX 6804gb, i5-2500k, 16gb ram. Everything is overclocked but yes very outdated now. I can achieve a constant 120+fps on Battlefield 4 with medium-high settings which makes me wonder if this is mostly an optimization issue with BF5? I know its a newer game with more detailed textures, but it doesn't look THAT much better to where I should struggle to achieve 60 fps even when turning EVERYTHING too low. On super low settings, I still get frame drops to 30-40 during intense action. I literally have to cater my playstyle to the potential frame drops(meaning sometimes avoiding areas of high population/destruction).
My big question here is whether people who have stoked out the big money for the new GPU's can even achieve a stable 120+ fps?? My initial thought is to wait for next gen GPU's(hopefully price drops and more of an upgrade from what I have now). It just sucks knowing half my deaths are due to stuttery frame drops.
