Required Science Courses for CS Majors
Hello! I am a prospective freshman who will be majoring in Computer Science. I am trying to figure out the best course of action when it comes to the Science requirement for CS majors. Part of it requires you take either Phys 1 and Phys 2, Chem 1 and Chem 2, or Bio 1 and Bio 2, and you also need a lab requirement to satisfy general education requirements. AP Biology takes care of both of these requirements, given you pass the test.
I've got two questions on this. First, is it worth it to cram in self-studying for AP Bio (since I'm not in the class) to try to knock out these requirements, or should I just take the classes at UMBC? Second, if I did forego the AP test, which series of those three options is most entertaining/easiest/most fun?
Thanks in advance for any responses.
