Honestly, I knew Tom Hardy only acted in good movies, so I was excited about Venom, but in the end, I didn't see it in theaters because critics just trashed the hell out of it. Why did critics hate it so much?
I watched it just now, and it was a solid story (for a comic) with a great cast. The effects and dialogue were captivating and on-time. The movie never got boring or pretentious or ludicrously ridiculous (which comics tend to do). I really liked it. I thought it was a pretty good movie.
