I [42/F] went to a party with a friend [41/M] that I have a crush on and now I'm more confused than ever...

So I've [42/F] known this man [41/M] for 4 years and we recently went to a party for work, he looked really good and I let my guard down a little and flirted a bit more than I usually do with him. I hope it's okay but I want to tell you how the night went so you'll see my confusion.

When the music started I went over and asked if he was gonna come dance with me and he said he doesn't dance, just stands there and looks good, I grabbed the lapels of his jacket and said "and you look really good tonight", he responded and told me I looked amazing. We hung out for most of the rest of the party, near the end he said he had a great time and we should do this more.

A bunch of us decided to go to a club after the party and when we were outside waiting for people a random guy came up to me and told me I looked beautiful, my crush turned around and looked at him and the guy was all "oh sorry this is your boyfriend" I said no but he said "oh he's your boyfriend" again and walked away. When the rest of the group came out my crush put his hand on my back as we walked to the club.

We go inside and someone bought a round of shots, some of it spilled on my hand when I drank it and when I licked it off my fingers I happened to look up and he was doing the same and our eyes met and he didn't look away.

We were standing by the wall a bit later and he said he was hot, I grabbed his jacket again and said why don't you take this off, he laughed and said No, I already checked my coat.

A bit later we were talking with another guy [33/M] we work with and he said we should get some shots and what should we get, I said I like tequila, to which he [33/M] responded "no, you only have tequila if you wanna seduce someone", I looked at my crush on and said "well maybe I wanna seduce you", he got all serious and said "no you wouldn't do that, we're friends". Which I have to say hurt a bit to hear.

But we decided on a shot and headed to the bar, my crush walked with his hand on my back again and when we were almost at the bar this guy stopped us and said "you guys looks so great together, did you just get married?" my friend said "oh yeah and then we came to a bar...no, we just came from a party."

*(Small aside, just after this when I was still feeling low cause of the friends comment I accidentally let it slip to another guy [40/M] we work with that I was interested in my friend)

So I talked with some of the other people with us and just before the bar closed my crush came over and grabbed my hand and said "come on I'm gonna do a shot of tequila with you" (I have to say I was buzzed by this time and all I could think was "WHAT!"), we did the shot together and headed to the exit, again hand on my back, as we walked passed the guy [40/M] I accidentally told he said "So you guys gonna go have sex?" and my crush said "no we're friends", I was mortified and told the guy I couldn't believe he'd asked that.

My crush walked me down the block to catch a cab, one came and I told him and his friends to take it since they were going further, he said get home safe and as he got in the cab he just looked into my eyes until he closed the door.

I messaged him I got home safe and he messaged back good and see you soon.

Now that we're back at work he's been a bit aloof, not talking with me as much or joking around and I'm not sure what to do. Did I misread something, am I crazy to think there's something between us? Please help, any insight would help. I want some input before I bring it up (or not bring it up) with him.
