How much does RAM affect streaming?

So I plan on start streaming around next year, so I'm starting to build a PC and my budget is quite limited, I've read about everything I need, but most of what I found about RAM and streaming was considering I'd stream newer and demanding games. Woulg 4gb be enough, considering I mainly plan to stream retro games?
