New Player Questions

So I have had Overwatch for about a month and a half now, I've been experimenting around with different characters and have settled on Moira due to her versatility and she matches my play style quite well. The issue I've been having lately is my placements went horribly. The first week I had the game was last season and I placed silver, which I've been told is not bad for a noob

This current season, my placements were horrible. I was stuck with toxic players for most of my matches and I had a troll account purposely throw a game, it was quite frustrating. So now I am at around 1344 (I think) and I find I end up carrying the team because I feel I am a bit above being in bronze (Yes I'm sure everyone in bronze says that, but for real)

I'm wondering how other Moira players get around having less than co-operative or just straight up bad team mates, based on last season I know I am a much better player than where I'm at now, but I am struggling to manage wins lately. Since my placements ended I have won every game but one, so I am slowly climbing up there, hopefully I can get to Silver this weekend and if I'm lucky maybe gold eventually, I was just wondering what tips you guys might have for a noob, especially a noob who hasn't played any kind of competitive games until very recently.
