Need help against Zed as mage (Rant section and serious questions)

Hi Zedmains. Hope you can help me. Let me make this clear: I HATE YOUR MAIN! HE IS AMONG THE WORST MONSTrOSITIES THAT MAKE THIS GAME SO FRUSTRATING!

RANT: Now that is out of the way I need some concrete shit here. I have been reading hundreds of pages and hours of guides. I play mages as Orianna, Cassiopeia etc., basically your run of the mill teamfighter that has some waveclear early for 2 waves, then you are oom. What I have accumulated from said guides are: Don't push the wave, but harass all you can, but don't use AA since it draws minion aggro and pushes the wave, so use abilities, which cost mana and cd, so no waveclear after a few minutes of that, and these abilities also push the wave if they are like Orianna's ball, which is AoE and it has to go through the wave to hit him, since you also have to be behind your minions at all times to dodge 40% of the damage on his Q. Also build armor ASAP, so basically, don't have mana at all until after 12 minutes or so. Make sure to punish him when his W is down, so go up in lane and zone him from maybe 2 minion if you are lucky, since he just stays back and farms with his no cost no CD Q and you are not getting ganked, haha. When he hits 6 you better have that Zhonya's ready so you don't die to his ult. After 6 you should also permapush so he cannot roam and poke him under tower, all the while avoiding his WEQ combo on you, because if he gets that one off you are not in ult range, even when you have gotten soem armor, and you are now dead. Congratz, you have now succesfully played against Zed and you died. Again and again and again. What a game.

LESS RANTY: I play immobile mages with some waveclear (Cassiopeia, Orianna atm., dabble with some Veigar and others from time to time).

how do I harass Zed so I don't push the wave? AA and AoE abilities (such as Orianna Q and Cassio Q) push the first few waves, which every guide says is a big no-no

What are my first buys? Armor = no mana or AP for wave clear. Mana/AP = no Armor for his WEQ dh/electrocute proc and me dying if I stay in lane after that, even under tower farming.

How do I punish Zed aside from hoping he whiffs his W? If I just farm, so does he (too easily for my taste with passive and Q, but that is another matter) and he gets items equal to or better than mine early, so i die over and over. Jungler is also not an option, because Gold V.

What is the best middle road between hugging turret, hoping to get 3 farm every wave and letting Zed dominate every fucking lane and being a harrassing and dodging god, plucking him down to 10% health without him landing a single bit of damage on me?

Hope I can get some good, concrete and detailed answers here, since this is what I have gathered from all the guides I have seen and read, but to no avail.
