Is there actually any good reason for conceal carry firearms?

I was thinking about all the places that regulate this. Schools, government buildings, a considerable amount of stores, and I feel like if something were to happen while you were in your car, you couldn't reach for it as trouble will be there before you recognize it. It seems to me like it would be so much trouble trying to think if you can take your weapon with you for anything but a walk on the street, so is worth it?

Edit: From what I'm getting, it is mostly a personal preference and not so much "you should or should not definitely do so." If you have any opinion to add, I will leave this post up for the sake of discussion. Thank you for the replies.
