New Nipple Piercings and the Common Cold?

Hi all! This is my first time posting here!

I got nipple piercings on November 25th at Elemental Body Adornment (Victoria BC, CAN) with their lovely piercer Jocelyn. Since then all has been well, discharge and healing has been way better than I had anticipated (Praise Neilmed Saline Spray 👍🏻)

Anyway. My husband managed to catch a cold and get me sick for the umpteenth time this year 😩. Discharge has doubled, though it and the nips look healthy, I’m wondering if there’s anything else having this cold will do to affect my piercings?
