iPhone XS Max wait time

I’m considering switching to USC, but every time I’m in the store, they don’t have any xs max’s in the store. I don’t mind waiting to get my phone shipped to me, but the employee couldn’t seem to tell me how long of a wait it would be. Does anyone here know about how long it takes to get a phone shipped to you? Also, can they give me a cheap phone just while I’m waiting for my iPhone to come in?
