I've been locked out for months, help??
Back on 06/29/2018, I was locked out of the Twitter account that I have had for 6 1/2 years. I created it in March of 2012, a little less than a month before my 13th birthday (April 19th). I was unaware of the 13+ rule, up until I was locked out. The day of the locking, I sent a photo of my valid license and filed my claim, stating that I was not 13 when I created the account but am 13 now. Actually, 19 at the time of locking. I barely even used the account until I was about 14 if I recall correctly. I made the account, twote a few things, then took a long hiatus until I realized that Twitter was actually super cool. Many memories, lost photos, and lost friends are stuck on that account that I can no longer access, 6 months later.
At this current moment, when I try to log in, I am met with this message:
We’ll be able to unlock your account and will be in touch again with updates on our progress.
As a reminder, we require people to be at least 13 years old to use Twitter. We’re hard at work creating a technical solution that will allow us to restore the most important parts of your account, including your username and Tweets that you created after you turned 13.
As a reminder, additional requests submitted for this account will not be reviewed.
I am wondering, is there anything I can do to speed this process up? I have been seriously lost without it. I seem to see lots of people finally getting theirs back, but it is almost always connected to someone who is verified. What about us little people?!! Thank you in advance
Edit: I just went though my emails for any more info. I have received 3 emails from Twitter Support regarding this situation. The first being from 06/29/2018 with my case number. The second on 07/06/2018 with in inconvenience apology and some questions that I answered. I received my last email on 07/18/2018 that says as follows:
You recently contacted us regarding your locked account.
We're sorry for taking so long to respond and thank you for your patience. We understand you already submitted a request, but we'd appreciate it if you took the time to fill out this new form.
This additional information will help us work as quickly as possible to help you.
I have heard nothing since this email.
