Destiny needs upgraded team communications

I am currently trying to do the forge via matchmaking and I can't even tell my two random teammates where to stand or how to team up because the game doesnt allow it. They dont automatically join voice or teamchat so we are stuck in a teamplay-based activity having no teamplay.

Aside from the obvious thing that everyone should automatically be in teamchat I think there are possible solutions to this problem. I was thinking going the overwatch approach. In overwatch you can press a button to open a team command menu (like a wheel menu) and with a quick press you can say stuff like:

"Team up with me/at my location! Group up!"

"Go here" (mark location)

"Wait"

With some of these basic commands we would be able to effectively communicate with teammates without forcing anyone to use a mic or what have you. The menu could be the same as the current Emote menu. Maybe a button to swap between emotes and commands.

Also I have to say it is really hard to make friends with other players here. I just finished the forge with 2 other strangers and the INSTANT we beat the boss they vanished out of roster with no way (known to me) to add them or whisper them.

tl;dr: Bungie needs to make it easier to add friends and talk to strangers to elevate teamplay.
