I have a question about the pilot

So I'm rewatching season 1 (for the 3rd time in prep of watching season 2) and I keep meaning to ask someone about Midge and the window shade.

When Midge is doing her whole night routine after Joel falls asleep before she gets in the bed she opens the window shade about an inch. The next morning as she is doing her morning routine before she goes to the bathroom she pulls the shade all the way down.

Can anyone tell me, what's up with that?
