Would It be ok to get my girlfriend better student paints as a gift? (I know nothing about watercolor)

My girlfriend is using student paints right now and her birthday and Christmas are very close together. So my plan is to buy her some student grade paints for the first one, then this for the next day. She currently uses art advantage 12 ml watercolor paint set.

Should I just re-buy this as the first gift, or would it be ok to get her some higher end student paints? Or do you guys recommend anything to go with the new paints instead? I’m not sure if price matters, whether these are relatively good or bad, etc. and I can’t really ask or I’ll give it away. Any advice guys? Thanks!
