Absolutely Noob

Hi! I read some of the wiki. I recently bought a slim version 25XX at goodwill for $30 and I was planning to use it mostly to play DVD/BD region free (currently it doesn’t play PAL dvd even if made region free), checkout emulators and occasionally play ps1/2/3 games. I have installed the OFW 4.82. I was going to jump into the rabbit hole of ps3exploit and CFW but I saw some threads about needing to connect to PSN to create accounts and PSN wouldn’t allow new accounts without updating to 4.83 (not doing it). I was thinking to install the Netflix apps from there.

Is there a definitive guide for noobs?
