PC Hard crashing while playing games
Hey everyone, new to this subreddit so if this isn't allowed please let me know and I will remove it. I'm at my wits end and nobody seems to know what';s going on or how to help me so I thought I'd try here.
So, I play Destiny 2 on PC and have really enjoyed it. At the beginning of this year, I played for a few months straight with no issues whatsoever. But when the newest expansion released in September, I bought it and started playing again. Ever since I started playing in late August/early September, my PC has be constantly hard crashing while only playing Destiny 2. Their support forum has been extremely less than helpful. It ranges from 5 minutes to a few hours of play time before it crashes, so I know it's not a heating problem.
I thought maybe it was my video card finally getting too old [GTX 660Ti] so I too the opportunity to upgrade to a 1080 Ti. I had it installed at a friends shop that deals with PCs so I know it was installed properly, and that my PC can handle the card just fine.
But, even after the new video card, my PC still crashes. I have tried checking my RAM through Windows diagnostics, through Memtest86, my RAM is fine, checked my Power supply, it's fine, my video card is fine, I even changed out my BIOS battery, and nothing has helped. These crashes have corrupted my BIOS more than 3 times, and all I want to be able to do is play this damn game and I can't!
