Suggestions on a PCI Wireless adapter?

I've gotten great mileage out of my ASUS Z77 motherboard from my current build which dates back to 2012. Only complaint is that the wifi adapter isn't compatible with 802.11ac. I'm looking to remedy that by installing a PCI wireless adapter that's compatible. Thought I'd ask here to see if there were any recommendations. My PC is in an adjacent room from the router (so one wall between) and about 30-35 feet away.
