Please don’t be mad

But I just have sooo many questions. I stumbled upon this subreddit and was thoroughly confused. I’ve never heard of poppy tea, but the thumbnail was a beautiful flower and everything seemed peaceful. Then I read some posts.

I went to the poppy tea university, but everything I’ve read has been for people who already know what they are doing, so I’m going to share what I think I know and can you guys fill in the blanks?

So poppy seeds can be made into a tea that someone is a crazy intense drug. I’m assuming that these are the same poppy seeds on bagels, but they must go through some intense processing first. So people can order bags of unprocessed poppy seeds and, with the right kind of water at the right temp, make a tea that seemingly is stronger that ayahuasca or something like that. Except this isn’t a psychedelic? It sounds like it strictly gets you high and is sounds more dangerous than heroine - and right now supply is screwed.

Where is this stuff imported from? Is it impossible to grow your own? Don’t worry, I’m just asking because I’m genuinely curious. I can take a warning - they have been scattered all over this subreddit.
