Can I go from a bachelors in health science to a masters or graduate program in horticulture?
I am almost finished with my bachelors in health science, just a few semesters left. I want to pair it with knowledge about plants, how to grow foods, which plant foods are best for us etc etc. So I am wanting to pursue my masters in horticulture. I also want to do this abroad.
My question is, is it possible to go straight from a BS in health science to a MS in horticulture? Every school I've looked into says I need a BS in plant science or something similar. I just want to know if I can go from health science to horticulture.
Or perhaps I shouldn't pursue a masters. Another option for me would be to do some sort of apprenticeship with someone who does something in the field with agriculture or horticulture. Ex: shadowing a small-level farmer in Indonesia. This option would obviously be less academic. I just want to learn about growing food.
