Weird substance/powder on hands
So recently about nearly a week ago I noticed my hands were looking very dry as the top of my skin looked almost white. I went inside to wash my hands but the weirdest thing happened, as I put my hand under the water I noticed that it had somehow become waterproof because all the water was just sliding off my hand barely making any contact with my skin. At first I was just mesmerised by it but I've started to become irritated now because even after washing my hands compulsively and having tons of showers the substance/powder stuff wont even come off in the slightest. My hands no longer look dry and white as they did before but I can tell the substance is still there but probably just sunk deeper into my skin because my hands are still waterproof and smell like musty chemicals. I have no idea where this stuff came from or how it got on my hands, the only thing I did that day where I was dealing with any type of chemicals was was I put the washing powder in the washing machine which I have done billions of times before and have never had this problem. I really want this stuff to come off my hands because I'm constantly paranoid that I might accidentally get the substance in my mouth somehow or I can't touch certain things out of fear I might make it "water proof" even though the substance has had no signs of spreading to anything. Anyone have any idea what this might be?
