Is there something to this? (The Mystery of Nell in Episode 6)

I'm watching Episode 6 yet again and this time around something caught my attention.

In Hill House, a few moments after the chandelier drops all seven Crains are in the foyer/staircase area with Olivia sitting cuddling the twins on the stairs. Steve and Hugh go upstairs and then Olivia sends Shirley, Theo and Luke to the kitchen and suddenly it's just her and Nellie left sitting on the stairs when just a moment ago, all seven were there. For some reason, this time around it struck me as odd or maybe significant - so I started really paying attention.

This is when Olivia shows Nellie the trick about counting the seconds it takes to hear thunder after the lightning. This time, they only count to two before the thunder claps and then a moment later the power goes out. Soon, the Crain clan comes rushing back in, and I thought there had to be some reason that it was only Nell and Olivia present for that moment. There had to be a reason that Olivia sent Luke to the kitchen with his sisters instead of letting him stay on the stairs and her explaining the lightning and thunder counting too.

Then, when the family is huddled around the flashlights, the camera slowly circles around them twice. The lightning strikes, and when they start counting, we can still see Nellie when they say "One". They count to three and suddenly Nellie has disappeared.

We know that Olivia has some form of power - it's believed that she is the cause of the storm - but we don't know the extent of her power. Is it possible that Olivia inadvertently caused Nell's disappearance?

TL;DR: In a show like this, and particularly an episode like this, I really try to pay attention to why things happen the way they happen and as I said before, it caught my attention that the foyer was full of Crains, then suddenly it's just Nell and Olivia and they go over the counting, and then just as suddenly the foyer is full of Crains again. Then, they count to 3 and Nell disappears. Did Olivia somehow cause Nell's disappearance?
