Responsive logos in 2018-2019. What can you say about it?

Its been a while since http://responsivelogos.co.uk/ presented the idea, and other articles (1, 2, 3, and this spanish site, where most comments where against the idea) discussed about it. What do you think of it nowadays in 2018, almost 2019? Is it something practical to do? Is it practical for web purposes?
