Why Can't We Hate Men - Suzanna Danuta Walters (A Hate Monger Enjoying Her Freedom of Speech.)
I just seen this article today. It appears to be a few months old so I am sure that many people have seen it already and discussed it. So I will spare you fine people my synopsis. However, I would like to add that even though I disagree with just about every aspect of her "opinion", I would like to say that I completely support her right to express it. There is a lot of talk about saying that her article is hate speech and therefore shouldn't be protected under the first amendment. I will concede that what Walters wrote is in fact hate speech. But if it weren't for freedom of speech allowing people like Walters to vent their frustrations, they would become ticking time bombs, and it would be just a matter of time before they start blowing up movie theaters and/or shooting up places of worship.
But wait...don't take off your bullet proof vest yet. Walter's article is very telling about the depth of her bigotry. If she is this comfortable about openly expressing hatred for and disparaging an entire group of people in one of the most read newspapers in the country, then it would be likely that she harbors the same feelings of hatred towards other oppressed groups as well.
Just my opinion.
