FC5: Any way to turn off little white circles over friendlies heads, without turning off my companions Blue diamond indicators?

I'm in a town and every single person has little white circles over their heads. I talk to them but the circle stays. I have been through the game twice, but have not played in quite awhile, but don't remember this.

I'd like to get rid of the circles while not getting rid of the companions overhead indicators.

EDIT: It was bugged. When I restarted all the circles were gone.
