Sound when draining

The drain from our bath goes between the 1st and 2nd floor. Based on some of my investigation, it goes through the I beam things as opposed to running parallel with them.

When it's draining, there is a consistent tick, almost like a metronome.

Any ideas what it might be? Or if its something to be worried about?
