What to do if your tangle is squeaky and loose

"I recently fixed my tangle! It was squeaky and loose in some links, so I took the whole thing apart and soaked them in soapy water in the sink for 10 mins. most. Then, I took Q-tips to clean off the links closer, especially the ones with dirt on them. Then, I dried them off w/ a towel, (used compressed air to make sure all the water was out of the links) and filed down some of the links with a nail file and added nail polish to the loose links. I let it dry, put it back together! :)"
