Doctor Who Politics

I don’t mean to be that guy, but I’m 4 episodes into the new season and I’m already hesitant to watch the rest just based on the politics being shoved down throats at every turn. I have no problem with a female doctor, I actually enjoy it, but between hating of guns, negative mentions of Pres. Trump, racism in the 21st century...it’s just about turned into a political campaign ad for the left. What happened to it just being a show about a time traveler and his/her adventures with companions? I’d like to know how others feel about this. I’ve always enjoyed the show for being just that...a show. Maybe I’ve been ignorant to it in the past but it just feels like too much this season.
