First time working with tung oil, how can I fix this uneven finish?

Edit: update, I put a 25% mineral spirits 75% Tung Oil mix on with a 1500 grit wet dry sand paper and now the finish seems to be evened out. I'm just waiting for it to cure so I can seal it with furniture wax.

Againstr recommendations I decided to finish my live edge Ash mantle using tung oil. HERE is what it looks like now. This is the 4th coat using THIS method. The front portion near the edge seams like it didn't soak in as well as the rest. How can I even this out? I was thinking another light coat using a 600 grit wet/dry sand paper to even it out but I'm a fraid of having too much on after that. The intentions for my final step is to seal it with a furniture wax.

Edit: I should add this is almost cured, not wet as it appears to be.
