So I have a classmate kinda friend who keeps sending me signals (I think) but then goes and does something to completely dismiss my assumptions and I’m so confused but I want to make a move... is that smart??

So this guy is in one of my classes at university, and this whole class is based off of groups, or our “companies” (it’s entrepreneurship). Anyway, he’s been doing things this whole semester that read pretty clearly to me as signals, like once he even asked me what height I’m into and if I had to marry anyone in the room who would I pick. He’s even complimented my clothes... men of reddit I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure dudes don’t give a crap about clothes except when they’re trying to show interest.

However, things that have happened to make me think I’m reading into things way too much include:

he said bye to me while having his arm around some other girl He posts about doing stuff with a girl quite often (I can’t tell if it’s the same girl or a different one), but he has never exclusively come out and said they’re dating He literally went on a road trip with some girl over a weekend and posted about it

ANYWAY, I have an opportunity coming up to ask him on a big group date, but I don’t know if I’m reading everything wrong or maybe he’s just super friendly? He is an extremely sociable person. Please help I feel like an idiot
