my first homosexual relationship & I am confused.

I’m dating a girl now. I dated a guy 1 year ago. I can’t help but compare my straight relationship with my lesbian relationship. I think I feel slightly less sexual energy in my current relationship, although this might be do to the fact that my ex-boyfriend took the lead on a lot of sexual stuff, and my gf, who has never had a serious relationship before, is rather shy. Because of this, I feel like I have to “be the man” sometimes, so I’m basically copying how my ex-boyfriend treated me when we first started dating.

How did you feel when you first dated someone of the same gender? was is awkward to figure out your roles in the relationship? how did it work out & what mistakes did you make?

thanks, I thought my sexual confusion would get better now that I’m dating a girl who I am incredibly devoted to emotionally, but it’s only gotten more confusing!
