Conquest points seem off after new update, is it just me?

So I get that they dialed the recover system a bit back in this update. But sometimes when I play I just notice odd numbers, and having played previous Battlefield titles and many FPS games, I just generally have a good sense of what's going on and pay attention to stuff like the kill log. But I've noticed the conquest tickets acting really weird. Like I've seen the tickets rise, I've seen the tickets be a larger number than the people killed that I've counted in the kill log, seen the tickets being frozen for minutes, and I swear that I've even seen the ticket numbers rise at some points.. Idk.. It might just be me, or I might just have missed something about the ticket-system in the new update.. But it just doesn't feel completely right. I'm not putting on any tinfoil hat, I'm just wondering if it's just my mind playing tricks on me.
